Season-Long Player of the Year
2025 Season
Tournament Committee: Phil Trimble (Chairman), Dan Bradley, Leo Zeggert
No Entry Fee

Format:
This is a season-long points race for all members to earn entry into the Player’s Championship tournament. All members are automatically entered into this points race by playing and completing eligible tournaments listed below. At the conclusion of the last eligible tournament, the top 16 players and ties will be invited to play in the Player’s Championship tournament which will determine the Player of the Year.
Tournament Rules:
Members will receive points for each completed eligible tournament they play in as well as additional points based on their performance (placing) in that tournament. After the last eligible tournament of the season, the top 16 players (and ties) will be invited to play in the Player’s Championship.
Season-long points will not be carried into the Player’s Championship tournament, however the top 6 point earners will be given “stroke advantages” that will apply to the Player of the Year as follows:
1st place will start with -6 strokes;
2nd place with -5;
3rd place with -4;
4th place with -3,
5th place with -2;
and 6th place with -1.
All other players will start at even par.
At the conclusion of the Player’s Championship, whatever 2- day net score a player has, it will be combined with any “advantage strokes” a player may have earned over the season. The player with the lowest score (2 - day net Player’s Championship score + advantage strokes) is the Player of the Year.

Scoring:
Points will be distributed in flight, meaning each flight will distribute its own points. Ties will share points equally for their respective place. Tournaments which have a gross payout like the President’s Cup and Club Championship will payout points according to the places paid using the chart above; however, you cannot receive points for gross and net. The Club Championship will payout 1st place gross points in each flight, however 1st place net will receive 2nd place points and so on down the line. This will be the same for the Presidents Cup for the first flight only; the remaining flight will be paid out based on net placings.

Tournament Payouts:
Individual Payout: The Player of the Year will have their name engraved on the plaque to be placed in the trophy case. The Player of the year will receive a gift card at the fall banquet.
