Season-Long Player of the Year
Conditions of Competition
Tournament Committee: Mike Greenwood (Chairman), Dan Bradley
This is a season long point race. Players accumulate points throughout the year, based on each eligible tournament they play in and their results. The player which accumulates the most points at the conclusion of the season will be Crowned Player of the Year. All players will be entered, so you do not need to enter.
A player will receive points for each eligible tournament they play in and finish; they will also receive additional points based on their performance (placing) in that tournament. After the Club Championship the top 20 players (and ties) will advance to the Players Championship, to accumulate one final round of points (their season points will also carry over into the Players Championship). The player with the most points after the players Championship will be the Player of the Year.
Eligible tournaments and point structure per tournament to qualify for the Players Championship are:
Players must complete a tournament to receive points.
Points will be distributed in flight, meaning each flight will distribute its own points. Ties will share points equally for their respective place. Tournaments which have a gross payout like the President’s Cup and Club Championship will payout points according to the places paid using the chart above; however, you cannot receive points for gross and net. The Club Championship will payout 1st place gross points in each flight, however 1st place net will receive 2nd place points and so on down the line. This will be the same for the Presidents Cup for the first flight only; the remaining flight will be paid out based on net placings.
Individual Payout: The Player of the Year will have their name engraved on the plaque to be placed in the trophy case. The Player of the year will receive a gift card at the fall banquet.
