Conditions of Competition

Tournament Committee:  Mike Sexton (Chair), Mike Greenwood, Dan Bradley

The Rules of Golf as issued by the USGA govern play, along with Local Rules as applicable in the Club’s “Hard Card”.  See below for additional Conditions of Competition. Violations are addressed by the Tournament Committee in cooperation with the Rules Committee.

Format

This is a two-day, 36-hole Flighted Team Net Stroke Play Tournament using 100% Home Course Handicap. The Tournament Committee uses Golf Genius to determine Flights and daily pairings. Home Course Handicap is as of the date of tournament set up.

Each team consists of 2 players. Club members select any active member in the Club as their partner. If a member enters as a single, the Tournament Committee will attempt to pair the member with another Club member.

Tees to be utilized will be set by the committee based on the number of participants and flights.

Scoring:

If a team is missing a player, the Tournament Committee substitute’s scores for the missing player by using another player in the competition that has the next closest Handicap Index as of the date of tournament set up. If a team is missing a player, do not complete the team score; the Committee will do it for the team.

Saturday, Holes 1-9           Combined Net Team. Front Nine par 72.

Saturday, Holes 10-18       Net Best Ball. Back Nine par 36. Total par for the day is 108.

Sunday, Holes 1-9             Net Best Ball. Front Nine par 36.

Sunday, Holes 10-18         Combined Net Team. Back Nine par 72. Total par for the day is 108.

A Sudden Death playoff decides all ties for first place using combined team format. Playoff holes are determined by the Tournament Committee based on course availability. Players are responsible for knowing their likelihood of a playoff possibility. Failure to be present for the playoff will result in relinquishing first place for second place. All other ties are co-winners and the place money is evenly split.

All scores are posted by the Committee for USGA Handicap purposes, with applicable Adjusted Gross Score applied.

Other Information:

Prior to the first tee at the Registration Table, a voluntary $10.00 is collected from each player wishing to enter a flighted Net Team Skins Game. In the event of “No Skins Out” on Saturday, the skins money carries over to Sunday. In the event of “No Skins Out” on Sunday, the competition reverts to a Best Skins format on Sunday’s results only. A member of a team that does not enter is excluded in any payout.
