The Rules of Golf as issued by the USGA govern play, along with Local Rules as applicable in the Club’s “Hard Card”. See below for additional Conditions of Competition. Violations are addressed by the Tournament Committee in cooperation with the Rules Committee.
This is a one-day, 18-hole Flighted Individual Net Stroke Play Tournament using 100% of Home Course Handicap on the Executive-9 Course, and 60% of the Executive-9 Handicap on the Par 3 Course. The Tournament Committee uses Golf Genius to determine Flights and pairings. Home Course Handicap is as of the date of tournament set up. The Tournament Committee makes every effort to create Flights with the least amount of Handicap differential possible.
All flights play from the same tees: the Back Tees on the Par-3 Course and the White Tees on the Executive-9 Course. Tee markers are set at the score card hole length for each hole on the Par-3; the markers are set at the White tees score card hole length for each hole on the Executive-9.
Prior to the first tee, players select any five (5) total clubs of their choice. There is no sharing or changing of clubs at any time during the tournament.
The Par-3 nine-hole total plus the Executive-9 nine-hole total determines each player’s 18-hole tournament score.
A Sudden Death playoff decides all ties for first place. Playoff holes are determined by the Tournament Committee based on Executive-9 course availability. Players are responsible for knowing the likelihood of a playoff possibility. Failure to be present for the playoff will result in relinquishing first place for second place. If a playoff is required, 100% Home Course Handicaps apply in regular stroke play. All other ties are co-winners and the place money is evenly split.
Prior to the first tee, at the Registration Table, a voluntary $5.00 is collected from each player wanting to enter an Inside the Circle game on the Par-3 Course. The Tournament Committee marks the player’s score card to indicate entry. If a player’s ball comes to rest on the line or inside the circle on the putting green of the hole being played, the player’s marker places a checkmark in the appropriate box for the hole. At the conclusion of play, all players with checkmarks split the entire pot. The total number of participants and the total number of checkmarks determines the amount paid in cash per checkmark. In addition a voluntary $5.00 is collected from each player wanting to enter a Flighted Net Skins game on the executive course. If there are “No Skins Out”, the competition reverts to a Best Skins format.
